  1. What’s included in the price?
    The daily rates include hire of the Campervan, fully comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance, up to 1000 miles per week. (additional miles are charged at 50p per mile). We also have a number of optional extras available to hire.  

    We will supply the following in our Campervan
    – Fridge
    – Two burner hob
    – Gas bottle
    – Cutlery & Crockery
    – Cooking utensils
    – Kettle & pan
    – Mattress for the pop top
    – Black out curtains
     
    Optional Extras Include
    (subject to availability and additional costs)
    – Inflatable drive away awning inc. ground sheet
    – Portaloo with tent
    – Early Pick Up
    – Late Drop Off 
  2. What are the check in and check out times? 
    Campers will be ready for collection from 2pm and we ask you to return them by 11am. Check in and check out takes approx 45 mins as we will show you how to ‘pop’ the roof, use the gas and assemble the bed.

  4. Is there a minimum age for rentals?
    The minimum age for renting our Campervan is 25 at the date of hire and maximum age is 70. You must also have held your full UK driving licence for a minimum of 3 years. This is a condition of our insurance company
  5. Where are you based?
    Harry the HappyCampervan lives in Highbury North London which is 20 Mins from Kings Cross (one stop on the Northern line).
  6. Do you have to be a UK resident to hire the van?
    Yes, this is a condition of our insurance company.
  7. Are Dogs allowed?
    Yes, one well behaved dog is welcome though there is an additional cost.
  8. Do we need to arrange Insurance?
    Fully Comprehensive hire insurance is included in the rate along with roadside assistance. A refundable security deposit of £1200 is payable on pick up. We strongly recommend you take out separate insurance excess cover.
  9. What is the minimum hire period?
    You can hire our Automatic VW Campervan from a minimum of 2 nights mid and low season, 3 nights minimum in high season and 7 nights minimum in peak season (school holiday periods).  We also offer discounts for rentals over 2 weeks.  Please contact us for more information.
  10. What ID/documents are required?
    As with any vehicle hire, we will need to see your Driving License and proof of address.

    At point of booking:
    We will ask you to send us a copy (front and back) of your driving licence, and proof of address, such as recent utility bill or council tax bill.

    At point of hire:
    We will ask to see your driving licence, a copy of the front and back will be taken and stored on file for the duration of the hire period. We also require two utility bills dated within 3 months of the rental and a DVLA driving code.
  11. Is Parking available for my car?
    Unfortunately, no.
  12. Do I need to pay the ULEZ or Congestion Charge in London?
    Harry is ULEZ exempt. Congestion charge and any other tolls and parking charges are chargeable to the hirer.
